A quick-start guide for Demo Day reviewers and first-time users.
Follow these steps to install the app, play a match, and explore what's available.
Install TestFlight from the App Store, then tap "Install via TestFlight" on the Download page.
Follow the prompts to install Overthrow Chess on your iPhone.
Sign up using the in-app authentication flow to access our services. There is support for Sign-in with Apple to speed this process up and protect your privacy.
From the lobby, choose Play Online for matchmaking or Play AI for a bot
opponent. Time settings are grouped into bullet, blitz, and rapid options. When paired, the board is populated and you are free to make your move.
Navigate to the Friends tab to send friend requests. Once accepted, you can challenge them directly instead of using the public matchmaking queue.
Play a full match. After the game ends, the result overlay appears. From here, you can open the review screen to replay moves step-by-step with analysis data provided from our servers.
Visit the Stats tab to see all of your recent matches, updated ratings, and mode-specific filters. Check out your status on the leaderboards too! Then try Puzzle Rush for tactics training.
